552 Free Audio Stories

Storynory pubblica ogni settimana, dal novembre del 2005,  una storia alla quale è associato l'audio. Visto che sono quasi 10 anni dall'inizio di questa avventura sono attualmente ben 552 le storie pubblicate con il relativo audio. Sono storie perlopiù rivolte ai bambini ma possono essere comunque un buon esercizio di listening per tutti. Unico difetto, forse, è che la narratrice prima di leggere la storia fa un preambolo che a volte può durare anche oltre un minuto ma anche questo può essere un buon esercizio di comprensione, soprattutto nel capire quando inizia il racconto vero e proprio.

BookRix è una vera miniera di libri in lingua inglese ma non solo, che possono essere letti direttamente online o scaricati. Solo quelli in inglese sono quasi 95.000 suddivisi in 64 categorie. Molto interessante è la categoria Short Story, per chi non vuole avventurarsi in narrazioni troppo lunghe e pesanti; in questa categoria esistono ben 6670 storie snelle e leggibili nell'arco di 3/20 pagine, con l'indicazione dell'età a cui sono rivolte, una piccola descrizione e le parole chiave.
Può essere anche una grande risorsa didattica, consigliando libri ai propri alunni da leggere durante l'estate.
